This Is Bad!!! Dan Campbell Lament Over Serious Injury Problem

Upon defeating the Minnesota Vikings 30–24 on Sunday and capturing their first division title in thirty years, the Detroit Lions were greeted in the visiting locker room with t-shirts, caps, and positive energy. But there was one more surprise waiting for Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, affixed directly to his locker: a notice about a drug test.

The rookie running back announced on Sunday that he had been “selected by the NFL drug-testing program’s independent administrator to complete a performance-enhancing substances test” with a photo shared on his Instagram story. As required by the regulations, Gibbs must meet with the Doping Control Officer to discuss testing protocols and determine the appropriate time frame for finishing and submitting his sample.

Gibbs finished with 100 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns during the Lions’ victory, making an outstanding performance. In addition to the two previously stated scores, he ran the ball 15 times for 80 yards. He also hauled in four 20-yard catches.

When Gibbs scored his first touchdown of the game on a 14-yard run with 2:54 remaining in the first half, it helped the Lions take a 17-7 lead. With 11:09 remaining in the fourth quarter, he ran a short distance from Minnesota’s three-yard line to score the game’s winning touchdown.

During Sunday’s victory, Gibbs—who the Lions picked with the No. 12 overall choice in this year’s draft—also created a great deal of franchise history. He overtook the late Mel Farr to record the fifth-most scrimmage yards in a single season for a rookie. Additionally, he became the third rookie in team history to record 1,000 or more yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns in a single season, joining Barry Sanders (1989) and Billy Sims (1980).

“Am I done cooking?” The photo that Gibbs uploaded had a caption. Gibbs is undoubtedly the 2023 NFC North division champion, even if he will have to wait to find out if he’s “cooked.”
