Sam LaPorta ‘has an outside shot’ to participate in the playoff match between the Rams and Lions.

Sam LaPorta, a tight end with the Lions, may still be able to participate in Sunday night’s postseason game against the Rams. Despite sustaining a knee injury during Sunday’s victory against the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit head coach Dan Campbell gave the rookie Pro Bowl player some leeway to play.

“Look, LaPorta has an outside shot, now,” Campbell told reporters on Monday. “With him, we will learn a great deal in the next 48 hours. However, he has an outside chance.

After being tackled and being wheeled to the locker room, LaPorta hurt his knee. Although Campbell said the injury was “not as bad as it looked” after the game, it didn’t seem good.
