Proposals to Look Into Bills-Chiefs NFL Officiating Staff Are Growing
There were plenty of questionable calls and non-called made by the NFL officiating crew during Sunday night’s Chiefs-Bills contest, which is a must for any legitimate NFL playoff game.
With more than nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and behind by three points, the Buffalo defence seemed to stall Patrick Mahomes and company on third down. But a short while later, the referee team gathered and tossed a flag. The phone call? Interfere with the Bills defence by passing.

The controversial, late call gave Mahomes and Co. a first down, extending their drive while holding a three-point lead.
The referees contended that after the ball was delivered, the Buffalo defence bumped the Chiefs wide receiver. However, a replay analysis makes it abundantly evident that the bump occurred prior to the pass, hence there was no need to call a penalty.
Making the decision on the spot is one thing. It’s different when referees gather in a group, confer for a minute, and then raise a flag.
NFL fans are requesting that the league look into the officiating crew from Sunday night.
