Piotr Zielinski To Liverpool ‘HERE WE GO’

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are expected to add some new players to strengthen their Premier League title challenge as the January transfer window draws near.

Following Sunday’s second consecutive defeat by Jurgen Klopp’s team, Liverpool 2.0 is still being built.

Luis Diaz’s 95th-minute equaliser saved their poor 1-1 draw away to newly promoted Luton, and the match has given Klopp much to consider ahead of a pivotal week. With a win over Toulouse in France on Thursday, the Reds may advance to the Europa League knockout stages. They then play their final Premier League match before the international break against Brentford.

However, the January transfer window is also a concern for supporters, since Liverpool will have another chance to bolster Klopp’s team as they continue their rebuild, and targets are already being determined. The most recent Anfield news is compiled here.

Piotr Zielinski, a midfielder for Napoli whose contract expires at the end of this campaign, is someone Liverpool is preparing to try to sign again. In 2016, Jurgen Klopp met with the Poland international in person and expressed interest in signing him, but a deal with his previous club, Juventus, fell through.

Instead, the 29-year-old Zielinski joined Napoli, with whom he had been friends for seven years. The Pole is no closer to guaranteeing his future with the Italian champions despite turning down a big-money move to Saudi Arabia over the summer. Corriere della Sport reports that Liverpool is keen on a move, though they won’t be without competition.
