Patriots interview former Bengals coach for defensive coordinator position
After 24 years as head coach, Bill Belichick has split company with the New England Patriots and other teams in the AFC. That role has been filled by Jerod Mayo, who is starting to assemble his team.
Tem Lukabu, a former linebackers coach for the Cincinnati Bengals who played for the team in 2019, is one of the contenders.
Since then, he has worked for Boston College for three seasons as the defensive coordinator and, most recently, as the outside linebackers coach for the Carolina Panthers.
Additionally, it has been rumoured that Trey Brown, the senior personnel executive for the Bengals, has been in contact with the Patriots regarding their general manager position because he worked as a scout for New England for three years, from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, he just received a request for an interview from the Las Vegas Raiders regarding general manager opportunities elsewhere.
