Luke Littler receives a special gift from Manchester United as he attends a Premier League match against Tottenham.
The teenager’s incredible run to the PDC World Darts Championship final at Alexandra Palace made him the honoured guest of Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Luke Littler, a darts sensation, was spotted at Old Trafford and even had an interview with MUTV prior to Manchester United’s Premier League match against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon. The 16-year-old, who has had a spectacular ascent over the past month, is a big United fan.
He advanced to the PDC World Championship final after making an impressive debut at Alexandra Palace. Littler was the topic of the town because he attracted attention both on and off the oche, even though Luke Humphries ultimately defeated him in the final.
Littler has always been a United fan, but he was seen at a Tottenham game and posed for photos with James Maddison last month when he was still in game mode at the PDC showcase. In recognition of his guest of honour status, the club sent him a shirt that read “The Nuke 180” on the back, a play on his moniker for darting.
Littler spoke with MUTV before the match as United welcomed Tottenham to Old Trafford for their first home game of the year.
Littler, the newest sensation in British sport, is taking some well-earned time off after a hectic few weeks of action. Although the former World Youth Championship winner lost to Humphries in the final a few days ago, he eliminated notable opponents in the process.
When Littler first appeared on the greatest stage with genuine intent, Dutch master Raymond van Barneveld was one of those swept aside by a rampaging Littler. Littler is not the only notable visitor to Old Trafford this afternoon, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the team’s new co-owner, gets ready to watch the play.
On Christmas Eve, his 25% investment was verified. The Premier League has yet to approve the INEOS-backed agreement.
