Liverpool vs Manchester United: Starting lineup, confirmed team news

Jurgen Klopp identifies every star for today’s match at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and several more senior players have been called up by Liverpool for their crucial match against Manchester United.

In Thursday’s Europa League dead-rubber match against Union Saint-Gilloise, Jurgen Klopp made nine substitutions.

However, players like Dominik Szoboszlai, Alisson Becker, Alexander-Arnold, and Salah will all be back at Anfield today.

Joel Matip is not available due to an anterior cruciate ligament rupture that required surgery.

Stefan Bajcetic, Any Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, and Alexis Mac Allister are still out.

Following the 2-1 loss in midweek, Klopp stated, “We recover, go home, and go again. Nobody got hurt, nobody is injured.”

Wataru Endo and Ibrahima Konate’s halftime substitutions in Belgium were also acknowledged by Klopp to have been prearranged.

Klopp remarked, “We just wanted to share the intensity.” If we got the chance, which 90 would I choose to play—Joe Gomez or Ibou? 45 and 45, the same in midfield, was my decision.

“These adjustments were scheduled before to the match, regardless of the outcome. All we did was try it out. Jarell [Quansah] was obviously going to play through if he was able to. That was the underlying idea.
