Al Ittihad, the Saudi Pro League champions, made a lot of effort to court Salah throughout the summer.

Despite rumours that a £150 million bid was on the table, the Egyptian chose to stay put and has since scored 13 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Liverpool appears to be preparing for life after the three-time Golden Boot winner, though.

Liverpool is reportedly interested in Kyanno Lorenzo Silva, a wonderkid for Benfica, according to Pete O’Rourke of Footy Insider.

With only six months remaining on his contract at the Estadio Da Luz, Lorenzo is being watched by teams like Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta.

Even though he is only eighteen, Lorenzo has scored twice in nine games for the club’s Under 23 team.

The Netherlands Under 19 international moved to Benfica in 2021, having previously played for both Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord.

He signed a three-year contract and that deal will soon expire, meaning he could be available for a small compensation fee.

Despite being left-footed, Lorenzo plays off the right side, much like Salah, the main player for Liverpool, has done for many years.

At Liverpool, some gifted players have made their names known, including Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah, Ben Doak, and Stefan Bajcetic.

Although Lorenzo hasn’t played professionally yet, he could add to the talented group of young players at the Anfield club.
