Per Khobi Price of The Orange County Register, small forward Cam Reddish’s ongoing groin issue may not be going away anytime soon. The 6’8″ former Duke Blue Devil has been sidelined for two of LA’s last three games with the issue, and relatively ineffective when he has played.
“It’s something we have to manage,” head coach Darvin Ham said. “There’s nothing structurally wrong with it, but there’s something that’s alive and well that he feels based on the workload.”
Per Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Ham’s intended replacement for Reddish in his starting five, power forward Rui Hachimura (I should probably mention, Ham is essentially starting three power forwards between Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt and LeBron James), left LA’s most recent loss, a 129-109 blowout by the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, with a left calf strain.
Ominously, Ham noted that the team has a “high level” of concern regarding Hachimura’s calf, and suggests that Los Angeles will further evaluate the 6’8″ Gonzaga product before making treatment determinations.
