The premier player for the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant, shared favourable thoughts about his new team, his legacy, and his future while also outlining his aspirations.

Kevin Durant was one of the greatest off-season additions ahead of the current NBA season, and it looks like both sides have benefited from his transfer to the Phoenix Suns.

Kevin Durant discussed his legacy, his time with the Phoenix Suns, and his future with ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

Durant responded half-jokingly when asked if he would be okay if his career ended right now. “I definitely want everything to just end right now, but I still feel I got energy to play,” he said.

“After some games, after long stretches, I do feel older. You learn so much about the game from being around for so long. Some of the other greats in other sports, such as Derek Jeter, Tom Brady, and Cal Ripken, are visible.” Durant provided instances from other well-liked US sports.

“These guys have played for such a long time, and you just get inspired by that and give as much back to the game as you can,” he said. “I think when you get older, a part of it is giving back and passing stuff down that you learned as well, so that goes on top of wanting to win, wanting to be the greatest.”

Durant is 35 years old and still going strong. His longevity is impressive. When Andrews questioned the player about this matter, asking if he saw himself playing well into his 40s, Durant had a comic response.

“I mean, yeah, I can catch and shoot a little bit, play a little defence, be a three-and-D, a six-man maybe when I’m in my 40s,” Durant joked. “We’ll see.”

The star forward was then asked the standard question, which has also been directed at LeBron James and Stephen Curry, regarding whether or not he intends to conclude his career with the Suns.

“I’ve stated this before, and I’ve been on a lot of teams. Yes, Durant replied, “Right now, in this very moment, today, without thinking about it in a minute.” “But at this point, that’s just stating. Although I can’t exactly forecast the future, I enjoy playing in Phoenix. He lauded the squad, saying, “I love the city and the fan base.”

“I’ve grown to understand what our mission is being in the Valley and how deep these people care about their team,” said the forward. “I became aware of the Suns’ past, and I’m happy to have been a part of it. He also expressed his goal for the team, saying, “However long that takes, I want to go up in that Ring of Honour one day.”

Durant has had a successful start to the season, averaging 28 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per contest.
