John Higgins has acknowledged that being in the shadow of fellow class of 92 graduate Ronnie O’Sullivan may be difficult.
The current world No. 1 O’Sullivan proved he still had it when he won the UK Championship for the seventh time earlier in December.
Mark Williams, a Welshman who won the British Open earlier in the season, is the third member of the legendary Class of 92.
Higgins has only won championships in the Championship League in the last two seasons, and he has also had heartbreaking finals defeats.
Higgins has the opportunity to win a ranking title at the home Scottish Open. On Friday night, he defeated Tom Ford to go to the semi-finals.
Higgins, who sat beside the Scot serving as a commentator for Eurosport, acknowledged that it was difficult to be compared to O’Sullivan despite the messy performance.
