Darts champion Michael Van Gerwen flaunted his scars on his chest on Tuesday while lounging on the Ibiza beach and sipping a drink.
The 32-year-old sports icon was accompanied by his gorgeous six-year wife, Daphne, who showed off her toned abs in a skimpy leopard print bikini as he was decked up in red swimming trunks.
And the two held onto each other’s arms as they played together in the water, putting on a comical show.
The reason of Michael’s scarring is unknown.
He also used the occasion to apply sunscreen to his wife’s back as she savoured a cigarette in the shade.
The brunette beauty kept her hair off her neck in the heat and out of the sea water by sweeping it up into a high bun.
Her watch, a pendant necklace, and an assortment of gold bangles completed her beachside ensemble.
Daphne and Michael were ecstatic as they danced in the pristine Ibiza sea together.
The Balearic Islands were added to the UK’s “green list” on Thursday, so the couple had something to grin about.
Daphne put on a cheeky display as she laughed and joked in the sea in the high-rise thong bikini.
And Michael looked to be enjoying his time off from pro darts as he waded through the aqua water with his beau.
The sportsman kept accessories to a minimum for his day at the beach but didn’t fail to keep his silver watch firmly on his wrist.
Taking to Twitter to update his fans on his holiday, Michael wrote: ‘Enjoying the time with my wife, and getting some relaxing time in before business starts again.’
The happy holiday comes after Michael suffering a serious back injury in 2017 and suffered another health scare last year when showering with Daphne.
Speaking of the injury at the time, Michael revealed: ‘I had serious problems last month. I had full hospital checks,
‘But I feel good now. The people around me are checking me well.
It was a twitch and a nerve against my lungs, beneath my ribcage. My body was hurting in this particular area. I didn’t fall in the shower the last time. I cleared my throat.
I was in the shower with my significant other, as we always take a shower together. It’s excellent.
“I was sitting in the shower,” he continued. I pulled my back and began to cough. That’s the way it was.
