Call for an investigation by the NFL into referee Brad Allen’s biassed officiating

I’m a devoted follower of the Detroit Lions, and I’ve seen several games when calls seemed off. The most recent and heinous instance occurred during our game versus the Dallas Cowboys, which was officiated by Brad Allen. It’s commonly accepted that his choices helped the Cowboys, giving them an unfair edge and eventually ending in our defeat. Like myself, a lot of fans have begun to doubt the reliability of NFL officiating as a result of this occurrence.

The NFL takes great pride in its fairness and ethics, yet incidents such as this call into question these values. There are differences in the way penalties are called across teams, as per ESPN’s examination of penalty data from 2009 to 2019. Even if this does not indicate prejudice in favour of any one club over another, it does raise concerns regarding officiating consistency.

We demand that Brad Allen’s performance during this game be thoroughly investigated by the NFL, and that if any prejudice is discovered, appropriate action be taken. We also implore them to examine their officiating procedures in order to guarantee impartiality in all upcoming games.
