With a devastating 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wildcard round of the playoffs, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys’ 2023 season came to an end, prolonging their wait for an NFC title game appearance to at least 30 years.
The Cowboys faced an impossible mountain to climb in the second half as a result of Prescott’s two interceptions in the first half against the Packers. Although Jones could not provide a precise description, it is expected that the Cowboys would be “all-in,” signing the top free agents and making trades to improve squad spots in need of improvement.
The Cowboys want Prescott to stay for the near future even though they plan to go all in for him in 2024. The organisation is reportedly eager to extend the contract of their quarterback for $60 million annually.
Danny White is echoed by Jones. Dak Prescott’s salary being the highest in the NFL is a clear indication that the franchise believes he can lead them to the Super Bowl. Although he hasn’t been able to break their streak of consecutive NFC Championship Game appearances, the team still has faith in his ability.
