Breaking News: The Steelers Sign Dallas Cowboys Star Dak Prescott
With a devastating 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wildcard round of the playoffs, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys’ 2023 season came to an end, prolonging their wait for an NFC title game appearance to at least 30 years.
The Cowboys faced an impossible mountain to climb in the second half as a result of Prescott’s two interceptions in the first half against the Packers. Half the issue was the quarterback’s poor first-half performance; for three quarters, the defence was unable to contain the Packers’ offensive threat.
Proposals have been made for significant modifications in Dallas. Among them is Danny White, a franchise legend, but he doesn’t think Prescott has anything to do with the Cowboys’ postseason struggles. In an interview at the Fort Worth Davey O’Brien Legends Award, he stated,
It was simple to blame the quarterback, according to White. He cited Prescott’s outstanding performance in the 2023 season as evidence for his assertion that a significant upgrading to the roster surrounding him is necessary for the Cowboys to be regarded as genuine Super Bowl contenders.
After the Dallas Cowboys’ season-ending defeat, owner Jerry Jones decided not to make any significant adjustments to the coaching staff or the roster. But a few days following his team’s disheartening defeat, he promised reporters, saying:
Although Jones could not provide a precise description, it is expected that the Cowboys would be “all-in,” signing the top free agents and making trades to improve squad spots in need of improvement.
The Cowboys want Prescott to stay for the near future even though they plan to go all in for him in 2024. The organisation is reportedly eager to extend the contract of their quarterback for $60 million annually.
Danny White is echoed by Jones. Dak Prescott’s salary being the highest in the NFL is a clear indication that the franchise believes he can lead them to the Super Bowl. Although he hasn’t been able to break their streak of consecutive NFC Championship Game appearances, the team still has faith in his ability.
