Anthony Joshua’s production company is rumoured to have offered Luke Littler a multi-million-pound offer to purchase the rights to his narrative, with the intention of making a movie about Joshua’s amazing journey to the World Darts Championship. The 16-year-old made it to the competition final on his debut, winning over millions of fans before losing to Luke Humphries.

According to The Sun, Joshua’s production company SBX Studios put up a bid of more than £1 million on Wednesday to get the movie rights to Littler’s tale. Following his 7–4 loss against Humphries on Sky Sports, which attracted 15 million viewers, they are not the only ones to have placed an offer.

In addition, the network is developing a documentary about Littler in the vein of Wayne Rooney, which delves behind the scenes at Alexandra Palace. This comes after Sky revealed that this year’s final was its highest-rated non-football sporting event ever, with 4.8 million views.

According to reports, Joshua and SBX Studios are certain that they have the best offer for Littler’s movie rights, which would depict his early years spent in Warrington, Cheshire, and his 18-month love affair with darts.
