Breaking: Bengals choose two Georgia players in the most recent NFL mock draft for 2024.
In a fresh 2024 NFL mock draft, the Cincinnati Bengals fully commit to Georgia prospects.
The strategy is undoubtedly appropriate given the needs the choices fulfil and Zac Taylor’s preference for incorporating leaders from successful programmes into his own.
Bulldogs offensive tackle Adamarius Mims is taken by the Bengals at No. 18 in the most recent mock draft by The Athletic’s Dane Brugler:
Mims could be drafted top 10 or fall out of the top 20, and neither outcome would be overly surprising. The former five-star recruit has only eight starts to his name, but his limited tape is intriguing. He has an unbelievable combination of size, strength and movement skills. Ideally, the Bengals would want a more established prospect, but Mims’ talent might be too good to pass up.
With Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey, a dynamic player who has averaged at least 13 yards per reception in each of his last three seasons, the Bengals actually become offensive in the second round.
If the Bengals are unable to re-up with right tackle Jonah Williams, both picks address important needs for the organisation. A player with inside-out versatility like McConkey would just give Joe Burrow another weapon following Tyler Boyd’s anticipated departure, even if they drafted two wideouts last year.
