Fields, a former first-round pick who may soon be traded, is the subject of rumours that have already circulated about the Steelers. Fields would have to forfeit something, probably draft selections. But since titles aren’t won without taking chances, the Steelers ought to look into this.

Fields’s ability to mix passing and running seems like a good fit for Pittsburgh’s new offensive coordinator, Arthur Smith. Fields hasn’t become a superstar, but he has shown promise amid less than ideal circumstances in Chicago. He finished 2022 with the second-highest season total of any quarterback (1,143) in terms of rushing yards.Fields then went on to record career highs in 2023 in terms of passing yards (2,562) and completion percentage (61.4), while also tossing a career-low nine interceptions.

Fields is still a rookie, so his addition won’t have a big effect on the Steelers’ salary cap. Even though the Bears haven’t won many games since adding Fields, he is a winner. His relentless performance in Ohio served as evidence of that.
