Before the Lions-Rams game, a Detroit pub forbids Matthew Stafford jerseys, saying, “Use some common sense.”
FOX 2 DETROIT – As he broke numerous franchise records, Matthew Stafford’s number nine jersey was among the hottest-selling Detroit Lions jerseys for ten years. A Detroit pub has announced that patrons wearing Stafford jerseys will not be admitted when he returns this weekend.
Thomas Magee’s is giving a rather frank warning to Detroit Lions fans: don’t even try to come in with a Stafford jersey on. Fans of the Lions are advised not to enter the bar if they are wearing a Stafford jersey, as stated on their social media website.
“PSA: On game day, please do not attempt to enter Thomas Magee’s wearing Lions Stafford jerseys. They’ll turn you away at the door. It is our first game at home in thirty years.
It included a composite image of four Stafford jerseys with a circle with a slash over the top.
In other words, don’t even try.
