Denver Harris, a former Aggie, gets transferred to LSU Tigers to visit Texas A&M.

The Texas A&M Aggies may be trying to re-sign a previous 2022 five-star recruit.

Denver Harris, a former Aggie and LSU Tiger cornerback, is anticipated to visit Texas A&M this week, per reports from 247Sports.

After just one season at Texas A&M, Harris—the team’s top corner and one of the top recruits of the Aggies’ historic 2022 recruiting class—transferred to LSU.

After spending a season at LSU, Harris joined the transfer portal. This season, he made four tackles while playing for the Tigers. and two intercepted passes.

Prior to the team’s 17-9 victory over Miami in September, Harris was suspended for the first time, allegedly for violating the curfew. These off-field concerns led to Harris’ initial departure from College Station.

The second suspension occurred in October as a result of an alleged post-game locker room confrontation and a rule infraction.

The North Shore product made five appearances for the Aggies in 2022, totaling 14 tackles and three pass deflections.

In addition to making a big impact for the Aggies early in the season, Harris—the top-ranked cornerback in the 2022 recruiting class—earned a lot of playing time in a secondary that was already loaded.

The Aggies, of course, may have been influenced in their decision to visit by the recent hiring of Mike Elko as head coach. Elko was the team’s defensive coordinator when Harris first signed.
