The mother of darts player Luke Littler’s girlfriend has stood behind their age-gap relationship in the face of “vile” online abuse directed at her daughter. Luke, a 16-year-old who recently gained notoriety for his darts prowess, went public with his 21-year-old girlfriend Eloise Milburn after it was made public that they had been dating for six weeks.

The two allegedly got together while playing FIFA on the XBox, and ever since, Eloise has been seen cheering on her new partner, Luke, who is the youngest darts player to ever make it to the World Darts Championship finals. The match takes place tonight at London’s Alexandra Palace and could see Luke win both the coveted trophy and £500,000.

Yet, Eloise’s mother Amanda Milburn has responded angrily to accusations that her daughter is a “money grabber” and to hurtful remarks made regarding the five-year age difference between Luke, who will turn 17 on January 21, and Eloise.

Although Amanda hasn’t seen her daughter Eloise’s new partner Luke yet, she thinks the two of them get along well and even made a suggestion that they might get married in the future.

“We are a darts family; we all love the game and are very committed to it,” the woman declared. It’s kind of ironic that Eloise may have met her husband through darts, just as I did. They are still in their early days, and she will kill me if I bring up the subject of marriage.”

Like her family, Eloise is a darts enthusiast who plays for the Surrey Women’s team as well as a club.

Despite living far away in Warrington and Surrey, respectively, Eloise and Luke like spending time together at the darts finals.

Eloise will be cheering Luke on as he goes from being an underdog to the favourite to win the World Darts Championship final tonight.

Mom Amanda called the remarks a “total pack of disgusting lies” and claimed that her daughter was only with Luke for his money and celebrity, claiming “Eloise has been accused of all sorts.” “There’s been a lot of horrible stuff being posted online about my daughter and my husband Phil, and I am very angry about it,” Amanda stated to the Daily Mail. For all these reasons, she isn’t with him. She is with him because she likes him; she is not interested in his wealth or notoriety. That is all there is to it.”

“Reading these remarks, many of which are from ‘darts enthusiasts,’ hurts us a lot. These nasty individuals are painting my kid as all of these things, but she is none of them. She’s a cute little child.
